Unbelievable, I just spent 15 mins on hold only to be cut off accidentally by the receptionist, waited for a call back but didn't get one, so called again. This time on was 25 mins on hold before finally getting through to the receptionist who didn't apologise for cutting me off the first time, then before I could get a word in she put me on hold again and cut me off! Surely intentional? Could you call me back please?!

I normally use this surgery's linked practice based in Rayleigh where I live. I have also used the Hockley surgery many times and have always had fantastic service and treatment from their wonderful staff. I had minor surgery there today and was very well cared for indeed. Many thanks to all concerned. Nothing whatsoever to complain about and I am very appreciative.

Have been trying to contact them via their web form, no reply. I live in Thailand and am trying to contact them on behalf of my sick father. No response so far, 1 week. Will keep trying.

I have had good and bad experiences at this surgery over the last 25 years but my last visit was not good. I went with my son who is 18 but I knew that if he got a particular Doctor he probably wouldn't get his say or get properly listened to, so I went for moral support. We were called into the consulting room by the particular Dr only to find that he had left the room and we had 2 trainee doctors. We were not asked if it was ok with us to see a trainee. Then just as we were explaining what we were there for we were interrupted by a nurse and another doctor who just walked into the room looking for the Dr. They left when they found that he wasn't in there but just as we continued to explain another trainee doctor just walked in and stood at the other end of the room. The Dr then came in and joined the trainee doctor who was carrying out the consultation, but he did not address me or my son at all he just spoke to the trainee and when I spoke he totally ignored me because he was too busy showing the trainee what to do on the computer. My son did not have a thorough examination or consultation and we ended up back at the surgery a few days later as his symptoms had worsened and he needed antibiotics!! The doctor was very rude and completely uncaring and uninterested in his patient. This is not the first time I have experienced this with this Dr and will avoid seeing him if I can. I find him very rude, disinterested and dismissive. Dr Curnock and Dr Navale on the other hand have always been very good.

Just spoke to Natalie one of the receptionist and she was very, very helpful in sorting out my query re flu jab, very polite and took the time to answer any question I put to her. System for appointments for flu jab seems complicated suggest it's made clearer for next year.
