Pain will make you drain and then go insane. Believe me, i know. I searched far and wide for a Pain Specialist that could understand me as a person AND understand my individual needs as a physically hurting person. Well, I found them! Specialists in Pain Care is meeting all my needs so far. I even drive an hour to see them; tho they are gracious to allow most of my visits via phone or online. They look past the statistics, numbers, norms,etc. and see ME the hurting patient. I am grateful to them and feel like I am in good hands. Whoop whoop! Freedom.

Today was my first visit and everything went very well. The staff was so helpful and friendly. In the last 10 years I’ve had all my major joints replaced and two spinal surgeries so I’ve visited many medical offices over the years and can say, without a doubt, that medical group is is one of best. From the first phone call I made to them, through the necessary referral, acquiring my records and setting up appointments the staff was friendly and efficient. The doctor took the time to speak with me before, during and after my procedure(lumbar epidural) and kindly answered my questions along with giving me some helpful information. The office location is easily accessible by interstate so not a lot of driving through town. Over the years I’ve had this procedure done in hospitals and surgery centers that involved downtown traffic, parking garages, long walks from the car(which isn’t enjoyable if you’re in pain)elevators and multiple floors to get lost on, lol. The hospital and surgery centers were much more expensive too. I parked at the front door and probably only walked 50 feet to the procedure room. Hey, I enjoy long walks when my body is up to it but some of the time it’s nice(and necessary) for your destination to be easily accessible like this was. I think this is one of the longest reviews I’ve ever written but I was really impressed with their service.

Hands down, the most efficient doctor office I’ve ever seen. I’m so happy to see a new reception person because the last one always looked to be in a bad mood. The new assistant is male and he wasn’t very friendly, however all the other assistants are very kind. The PA is awesome, educated, attentive, and personable...I always hope I get her. It’s different because I’m not seeing a “MD”, but I don’t mind because the Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants are more than capable of handling my care. I’m so glad I switched!!

After being with a few different pain practices over the years, due to insurance changes and offices closing, I have to say I have been extremely impressed with Specialists in Pain Care in Louisville. There are no waiting hours past your appointment to be seen, you never feel rushed while talking to the providers and the staff are always kind and caring. I've had no negative experiences the time I have been with them and believe they are caring and awesome!
