Avoid this place at all costs. The staff is unprepared and rude; and the doctor was very condescending. I was appalled to the point I decided to cancel my appointment after seeing how my fiancee was treated at that place. Stay away.
Love the doctor, but some of the staffs need to learn a bit friendly.
I had an amazing time at FYI. The moment I walked in I felt welcomed and at home. I went in for a full eye examination and I saw Dr Gill. She is very knowledgeable, friendly and easy going. She took the time to explain what she was doing and why she was doing it. Even her assistant was awesome! Best optometrist ever!
I had a bad experience with the receptionist. She was rude and negligent. I loved FYidoctors at the old location across from Richmond Center. I hope you will work to improve the quality of service provided and stop losing customers due to bad receptionists. I arrived at the store unknowing of the new COVID-19 procedures of making an appointment in order to enter the store prior to coming. I stood in front of the door and saw a sign stating the procedures. The receptionist looked at me while seated behind the counter, we made eye contact multiple times, she did not come to speak to me or acknowledge my presence. When I called the number on the door, she did not bother to pick up the phone and stomped right up to the door, opened it and informed me impatiently that I needed to make an appointment to come into the store. I apologized for not knowing the procedures and she seemed very annoyed during the short encounter. She then told me that everything's fully booked, she could let me in to make an appointment but there's nothing open today so I must return another time. I told her that it's ok and simply walked away, deciding to choose another store instead. This may seem quite trivial, but the basic respect and patience that we should have for others is non existent. I hope this type of interaction with your customer is a rare occurrence and you can monitor how your employees treat others in order to make improvements.
