No issues ever with the Optometrist. It’s the front desk and the people that are supposed to help you look for lenses I have issues with. Helpful they are not. I always have the feeling that they don’t care to get my business yet I’ve been going there since they opened. I’m loyal but they are not!!! My loyalty needs to be redirected. BTW I was put in front of a small desk mirror along with about 8 frames to try on. I didn’t get to pick them, the lady did. I told her I didn’t like any and asked for more. She said that’s all they had in the styles I mentioned. Gee whiz. Not sure about you but we all change our minds when trying on new things. I have to wear these frames for two years so I’m gonna make sure I get what I came for. I left and went to another shop where I was presented with two large empty trays to select any glasses I wanted and a big full mirror to try them on at. True assistance from start to finish.

It is true that the selection of frames is excellent. Pricing however is not. I could live with that. The problem that I have, and the reason I would never consider going back (and I hope you do not go there either) Is that the staff is terrible. What I mean is that they are consistently rude and condescending. Today I asked one of the staff in a cheerful voice, "how are you?" Her response was "what can I do for you" in a tone that suggested I was in some way inconveniencing her. I bought glasses there over a six year period. I went back because of the frame selection. I am tired of it. If it were isolated, then I wouldn't think twice. Behavior is consistent so it is a management issue. If being treated poorly is fun for you, by all means shop there.

The Spectrum Eye Centre achieves excellence in terms of the ability of its doctors and technical staff to do accurate diagnoses and prescriptions, and the treatment one receives throughout the eye examination to the final fitting. The thoroughness of eye examinations and the technology employed is simply amazing and gives the customer considerable insight into the condition of their eyes. Also, I commend the Centre on having a good selection of quality frames, better than I have found elsewhere in Regina. On one occasion, however, customer service in the store was rude and condescending. One staff person could benefit by taking customer service training that emphasizes a less judgemental and critical attitude toward customers, i.e. more respectful. This would be easily be a 5-star rating if it weren't for the inappropriate service I encountered on one occasion in the store.

The doctor was excellent and very informative. The testing they do is well worth the price to keep my eyes healthy. But.... it all went down hill when I went to pick out my glasses. They must think everyone is rich and can afford an expensive pair. The pushy sales lady was acting like she has something better to do besides help me. And she was steering me to the most expensive pairs. And when she measured my P,D, they kept that number a well guarded secret. Telling me it's very scientific and I wouldn't understand. It's your pupil distance. What's not to understand? It's a number you need to buy glasses of the internet. I'll never buy glasses here again. Can get the same pair off the net for 1/3 the price and they know that.

Dr Robertson saved my vision in my right eye. With state of the art eye testing, his machine was able to see a tear in my retina that might have been missed otherwise. I needed immediate attention with an eye surgeon and he helped make the process quick. I was in for surgery the very next day. Together Dr Robertson and Dr Garcia are an amazing team. Thank you so much!

The Spectrum provided me with great service in a timely fashion. The staff was friendly and very helpful in selecting a frame. Doctor Robertson is an excellent optometrist whose many years of practice shine through. Thank you so much for rushing my glasses to me with such short notice.

Very bad customer service. Ordered glasses and payed for it. A week later, they called just to tell me that the lencess will not fit in the frame. ( very professional) Asked to talk to the manager. No manager was available. Also they did not know how to refund the insurance. Had to spend over half an hour on the phone with insurance. Then they actually made an effort to call the insurance themselves. Like I said very bad customer service. And very unprofessional. Save your money. There is a lot of other places much better.

We had very dissatisfying experience with this place. We ordered glasses and few days later got a call that lenses that they ordered do not fit the frame we chose. And we have to pick another frame. The staff was disrespectful and declined speaking to us when we arrived. Made herself busy with stuff behind the desk and we had to wait for half an hour for her to get the refund. She declined to speak to our insurance when we asked her to. Highly unprofessional and disrespectful. Also. I'm in a wheelchair. The ramp has a 2 inch bump that is almost impossible to get over. Handicap door opening buttons are not working. So this lady - blond straight hair - was watching me fighting with the door and didn't think to get up to hold it for me. When we asked to speak to the manager - she said that the manager is in Hawaii and there is nobody else we can review our concerns. Wasted time, gas and energy. Left with very bad feelings. Rare experience for local businesses that are usually very accommodating .
