5 stars for Penders. Peter was efficient and easy to deal with by phone and Tom who installed our inset stove was a gentleman - very hard working and we are very happy with the workmanship. I didn’t actually price around much as I thought the first quote they gave was very fair. Thank you penders:)

A pleasure to deal with. Peter and Tom are gentlemen; honest, courteous and very reasonably priced. We had an inset stove fitted and are delighted with it.
Writing this to warn people - we hired Penders to install an inset stove in our existing fireplace, it should have been a straightforward job, but the guy they sent to do the job didn't measure up properly and repeatedly messed up the surround and inset frame. They made an absolute and complete mess of the job, taking 3 mths and 10 repeat visits to fix it (which meant time off work most times!). Each time they tried to just paper over the cracks \ah its grand\ instead of doing a proper job, our fireplace looked a mess and each time we lit the fire all the surround cement fell out! Sloppy, careless and not bothered about doing a half-decent job. After we threatened solicitors they finally brought in someone else who could actually finish the job properly. 3.5 mths after starting the job we finally have a working fireplace. It's been a stressful nightmare. Avoid!!!
Delighted with my new stove! The work was really excellent and the guys fast and efficient. They cleaned up everything afterwards. I got an inset stove and new mantle. Delighted with the price as I had shopped around and they were the best value and came recommended. I highly recommend these guys
