I had one of the most detailed eye exams ever! I was told by many eye doctors that my eye's condition is complicated and I should just live with it. But meeting Dr. Polonenko changed my perception. She is very knowledgeable and thorough and spent time explaining to me how my eyes work and what we can do to treat my condition. Their vision therapy facility is impressive, I can't wait to start my vision therapy with them. Also the staff was very nice, Lea welcomed me with a nice smile and started the tests and I didn't have to wait, the place is very neat and organized and they have a beautiful collection of frames.
Hands down the best optometrist EVER! After sadly having double vision for the last 8 years, regular optometrists would just give me a 20 min test, get me in and out with a prescription with no explanation. After getting to a point where glasses weren't cutting it anymore, I was referred to the incredible specialist, Dr. Tanya Polonenko at the University of Waterloo, to which I followed her to Visual Sense Eye Care where she opened her own practice (which I must say is beautiful and they have gorgeous glasses to choose from too), I will never trust my eyes with anyone other than her!.. Actually, I refuse to! I kid you not, I was in tears from happiness the first time I met her, FINALLY someone who knows what they are talking about! Not only does she make you feel like a friend, she is kind, compassionate, and relatable. She never rushes you out, she does the most thorough testing I've ever had using different methods until we get the best answers and results. I was there for hours of testing because of my situation. So many different methods and all of them mind blowing.. because she also explains everything and why she is doing it. She blows my mind every time. Her and her staff are all amazing. I am absolutely fascinated by this incredible human and if I could give her 100 stars, I would. I cannot wait to begin my Visual Therapy treatments with her. If you are looking for someone who actually cares, knows what they are doing and will help you.. look no further, you found the one.
Beautiful clinic with helpful friendly staff! Dr. Polonenko is a fantastic optometrist; she did a thorough eye exam and really took the time to address my questions and concerns. I learned a lot about my vision and found a great new pair of glasses!
Dr. Polenenko gave me such a fantastic exam, I have a rare eye issue, and she was fantastic , highly recommend her and her staff, my new glasses finally arrived and I'm excited to do a follow up appt
I would like to start by saying how amazing . Dr Tanya Polonenko is. During this pandemic I have hurt myself more then once. This time I hurt my eye. There office wasn't open but she has her personal # there to call with emergencies. I called and she answered right away. She was kind and assisted me in under an hour. This is the best service I have recieved in my 30 years of being alive. I will be returning for myself and my family. Thank you
Wow! This was the most thorough eye exam I've ever had. The staff here is so friendly that I felt like I'd been a patient for years even though this was my first visit. I was hesitant to switch eye doctors since it's not like I didn't like my old one, just thought I could do better - I'm so glad I made the move! Dr. Polonenko is top notch. I'm only sad that after I get my new glasses, I don't get to go back for two more years.
The level of service I received from Dr Tanya Polonenko was amazing. Dr Tanya Polonenko and her staff went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable during my appointment. They made me feel confident that i called the right optometrist to help with the redness in my eye. There prices are fair and really like the glasses they helped me pick out. Thank you very much.
