Difficult to make a judgement really. The online valuation is clearly an enticement as the meeting feels like it is designed to slowly lower your expectations. Once they have dropped your expectations to the floor with an 'online valuation from the computer system' that can not be overridden by the person your meet. The person you meet then goes through a well rehearsed almost theatrical process of offering to raise the price, to make sure they get to buy your car at the lowest level possible even though you are told the computer cannot be overridden . On the plus side , you get some money ( be prepared for it to be significantly lower than the valuation; in our case around 30% less) you dont have to deal with people knocking at your door and as your being mugged it is done very politely. So if you factor in your take home could be significantly less than suggested then you'll be OK.

Met with Amhaj. Very friendly man, he quickly inspected the car and took us inside to explain all the paperwork etc and ended up giving us a really good price. Such a stress free experience. Would definitely use them again!

Received an email saying their offer had increased so made an appointment. After an appraisal the details were input. The result, a reduction of nearly 700. The reason given, the need to recon 3 alloys. All small areas, done in the trade for 20 a wheel. No justification could be offered, and I joined the two other owners I had seen earlier driving off in their cars with disgruntled faces. Charlatans preying on those who do not know any different.

Don't trust the quote given when online, they will try to knock you down by at least 500. This was on an online quote of 1350 meaning they wanted to knock off over a third of the value which is outright highway robbery especially when this car was priced between 2000 and 3000 on autotrader. I expected that they would try to knock the price down a little but this was downright insulting, as you can probably guess the offer was declined.
