Rivera's staff is very stretched. Most are ethnic and have a difficult time communicating and interpreting residents needs. The weekend and night staff are questionable due to these reasons. They watch more TV and are on their cell phones more than one would like to see. They have refused help to some residents when asked, perhaps because of inconvenience. It is one of the newer facilities in East Portland. The Administration needs to have more resident friendly staff and more leadership. Rivera could be the \diamond in the ruff\ if managed better. The food is mediocre at best which is a common problem in these types of facilities due to budgeting i'm sure. This is something I don't understand because they only house 28 residents.
