I miss the wonderful staff at the Mater Hill Family Medical Centre and was a transfer patient from the South Brisbane Clinic with Dr Matthew Chan - I miss him deeply and he was my doctor from 1979 until his retirement, a great friend to me and no doubt to all of his many patients. I remember Rosa, Maryann and Terry very fondly and Dr Chris when Dr Chan wasn't there. The ladies often loaned me a pen so I could do a crossword, my only complaint was that New Ideas etc had the crosswords clues torn out of them or they put the wrong answers in them. I often got there early so I could get atleast one crossword finished before my name was called.

My experience here has been exceptional! I have been a patient for over 10 years and find the dedication to patients beyond anything I have ever experienced. Yes, if you want a quick visit and med cert. there will be a wait. If you want doctors that care above and beyond, I cannot recommend this centre enough. Our whole family attends!

Great GPs and great kids corner. Annoying there isn't a toilet available directly on this level, need to go upstairs/up lift. Often had to wait too long for my booked appointment and received parking ticket as a result

The doctors there actually listen and talk to you and are very competent. You may find yourself waiting a long time, but when you are in the room with the doctor he/she will take the time to examine you thorough fully just like in the old days and not throw you at the door with a script.

Was repeatedly and passive aggressively pressured into getting the Implanon bar despite me having no problems with taking the pill. The doctor I saw did this both times I saw her roughly 6 months apart and only for my pill prescription. She absolutely did not listen to me and even handed me another pamphlet for it like the previous time I saw her. I literally debated her about not personally wanting the bar because of multiple friends and a family member having issues with it. I ended up just conceding and saying I will consider it to get her to stop talking about how I should get the Implanon. Super unprofessional. Ive had a satisfactory experience with a different doctor at this practice but I was incredibly uncomfortable the past two visits and don't want to go back. Also; flip flopping on whether they will bulk bill, and nearly always a really long wait time.
