Today I stopped for gas at Turkey Hill and noticed a police officer in the back and under a parked car. After I finished pumping gas I walked over to offer to help...turned out that officer Schroeder of the West Lampeter police dept. was helping to change a flat tire. There was a problem with a spare tire mount. After much struggling the tire was changed and vehicle was on its way. I just wanted to reach out and say thank you to Officer Schroeder for being there to help. After I went over and told him I would help her and I told him he was getting his uniform and gear dirty...he still insisted on staying in there, helping and getting dirty. Seemed like a super nice guy and I just wanted to say the lady we helped and I appreciate him for being there and helping the community!!!

This Police Department is beyond excellent. Always professional and always available to help. They have always gone above and beyond. They could not be better and they deserve to be thanked for the great job they do.

Very kind and helpful officers. They do the best they can with their resources at hand to help out when needed.
Gives out wrong information when called that costs you in terms of proving a case against a harassing neighbor (who they are probably friendly with), impatient when asked just basic questions, general unhelpful police who, in my opinion, abuse their power over those they deem 'undesirables' because of their small-town, small minded mentality. Please carefully consider this before moving to this town. This review is my opinion only.
