While the hike is steep, the view from the top of the tower replenishes the spirit. There is no other view of Wernigerode that comes close to this one. The plexi-glass enclosure at the crown is suitable for those with a fear of heights.

Quite a hike from Wernigerode , last part very steep (especially with a dodgy hip !) but lovely view as a reward when you eventually get there.
