Fantastic place for a day outing in the scenery village town of Matlock. Frequent service of cable cars back & forth. Tickets can be purchased online in advance or at the ticket counter located in the entrance. Nice view of the surroundings from the inside of the cars when climbing up & down the hills. Staff are very helpful in helping & providing information. There are many activities on top of the cliff with guided tours, restaurants, ice cream parlour, children play area, theatre & gift shops. Toilets & all other facilities are very clean & well maintained. Due to the pandemic there are some restrictions & social distancing in place. All guidelines are well posted in all locations. Its well worth a visit specially for kids. Pay & display car parking is available at the train station. Will need to queue up during busy periods

Super for day out. Fascinating walk through cabin... However covid restrictions were over the top in the cafe and restaurant... We waited in a queue to wait to be seated... And at least 75 per cent of the tables were empty. Same when we left. At least 20 in a queue waiting to be allowed in and most of the tables empty. Cable car ride really well organised.

Excellent trip for the whole family. Parking can be tricky. Managed to find some one spot and that was only because there was a huge camper van beside it and no one else fancied trying to squeeze their vehicle in (I managed to just fine!). Would advise to get there early. Paid 6 for 24 hours parking. Entrance to the attraction itself is via the cable car. You just need to purchase a ticket for that and that then gives you entrance to the Heights of Abraham itself with everything else included. This includes two caves tours. Shops and restaurants are obviously seperate costs. 3 hours recommended time to see everything. Lots to see and breathtaking views. A play area also for children. There is also a Punch and Judy show. Definitely a great trip out for the 60 family ticket (booked online) to see this attraction in Peak District.

We loved the cable car journey and the view from the cafe. The staff members we met were all lovely. The little shop had reasonably priced jewellery. The guided trip in the cavern was informative and enjoyable. Three hours well spent!

Great place to explore, great views in the cable car. Really enjoyable tour of the mines. Good day out but if you are scared of heights the cable car won't be for you.
