Bogus outdated law that makes no logical sense, a weigh station on a US route would make you think this is totally an okay route to drive truck on only for them to ticket you for having a 53 ft trailer on a state route in Maryland. 48 ft trailers were the norm decades ago why extort and fine hard working truckers and not even have the decency to have any signs up ahead saying no 53 ft trailers.. Also if this law was to be seriously taken all 53 ft trailers nearly all trucks would be pulled over all day everyday on every road in Maryland.. seriously needs to be reconsidered how can anyone proudly enforce this.
