Made an appointment to get help and advice from one of the people there, was told in a fairly snotty manner that they were quite busy and might not have time for me. The appointment was meant to last all morning but I was apparently meant to bring a form I was never told about and the person I spoke to said that I “wasted my time which could’ve been spent on someone more important.” Very disappointed, I know they’re all volunteers but that’s no excuse.

I can't speak highly enough of the volunteers at the Wantage Independent Advice Centre. They have helped my father by finding drivers to provide lifts to visit my mother in hospital, and have given much needed advice.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Charitable organisation supported by local businesses.

This place is a lifeline to so many people locally. The volunteers have extensive knowledge of the various benefits and can help with many different issues. They also have a rota of drivers willing to take people to hospital appointments for a small fee. I have been at the end of my tether trying to deal with the DWP, but the volunteers take it in their stride and I left feeling more hopeful.

If I could give no stars I would ! Very rude people who look down their nose at you, not willing to help at all. I had too much paper work and was told in not so many words that she couldn’t be bothered to look through it all and do it as it was voluntary
