I think it is one of the “must see” locations in the Tomioka area. Usually uncrowded, you can enjoy the unusual placement of the shrine, down a long flight of stone steps. There are large old trees and well maintained decorative building to appreciate. The calming, centering feeling you receive from such places with our without spiritual belief is certainly worthwhile. Enjoy walking up the main stone steps in the front. Bring your camera.

The Nukisaki shrine is located in Gunma prefecture. It is in a beautiful location and the shrine is surrounded by 1000-year-old trees. There is a main Torii gate and the shrine is painted in a reddish brown colour. It is often used by various martial arts especially the old swordsmanship, such as Takeda Ryu, Tamiya Ryu, Kiraku Ryu and Sekiguchi Ryu Battojutsu. One can feel the energy of the place as it is very tranquil.

Beautiful shrine in a beautiful location. They have an amazing martial art demonstration festival every year in May. This place is a power spot of Japan!

It's a cool shrine! Very peaceful when it's not New Year's/some big shrine holiday. And it's close to the train station, which is convenient if you have good timing with the train haha.
