Absolutely A Must In Tomar...I hit it right at sunrise...Took Me About 30 minutes walking from the center of town...Beautiful and Historic! Keep Your head on A Swivel...watch for cars...You will be walking on normal roads...Enjoy!

Very pretty old fashion aqueduct. You can do the full walk on top of it, around 1km, but they are no safety guards, so a misstep and you could fall 30 meters at the tallest place. Be careful and be respectful

It's a beautiful and serene locale nestled among the pristine mountains adjacent to the famed monastery. The waters flows through these serpentine aqueduct to the monastery. The view is absolutely stunning!

Open 24/7, free, and totally mind-blowing. You can even dare to walk along the aqueduct until you get to the most perilous segment of it: no parapet and at least a 30-meter precipice below it. The feeling is terrifying, as it looks like you are about to die any minute.

Amazing and unique architecture, combining Roman and gothic arches to support this unique water transport feature. Unmissable
