It was good to decent. I've been cutting places some slack since the pandemic and not really writing reviews. Firstly, the appetizer we had was fantastic, the calamari was perfectly cooked and the Marinara sauce that accompanied it was great. The main courses were a little disappointing, we ordered the Gnocchi, a side of risotto and the half rack of Lamb. The Gnocchi was undercooked, the lamb was paired with some not so great pureed vegetables and an odd Yogurt sauce that really didn't do much to compliment the lamb. It all looked great platee and I can see the attraction, beautiful presentation just fell a little flat on the execution. The wait staff were good and took care of us, overall we left slightly disappointed for the money we spent. The bill was a little over 130 with one drink and a tip and we both decided that the next outing will be The chase which is our go to italian spot. Will update when we return and sample something else.

Went here our first night in SB for a romantic getaway. The selection was nice and we really enjoyed the Squash blossom appetizer. My husband ordered scallops but the fishy taste was to strong so he was able to replace it with chicken which was pretty good. My ravioli was nice and so we’re our drinks. I had to take off stars because our heaters were not working so well to keep us warm as the wind picked up and because two of the dishes were just okay.

My wife and I had the pleasure of celebrating our wedding anniversary with dinner at Toma after reading countless positive reviews beforehand. After our meal, we wholeheartedly agree with this well deserved praise. Our server was both incredibly attentive and friendly. I ordered the rigatoni and my wife had the ravioli, both of which were perfectly prepared and just plain delicious. We were lucky enough to get an outdoor patio table and the waterfront view truly made the evening that much more special (despite occasional traffic noise, which wasn't enough to detract at all). Toma truly deserves its abundance of great reviews, and I personally recommend it as a must-eat if you're visiting Santa Barbara.

In a town with a lot of hidden gems Toma was an outstanding find, right in the open. You know a great restaurant when you cruise by the beach and smell the savory deliciousness from far away. We parked the car and followed our noses to incredible contemporary Italian style food. Scallops and pork. The highlight of the dinner. Large portions, and irresistible. The scallops tasted delicate and fresh with nuanced flavor. The pork is everything in a meat that you would want without feeling guilty. And they worked well together. We ordered, and then ordered more to take home. Lasagna was an orchestra of meaty flavor. This is what other places aspire to. Margaret bread was also incredible. And the customer service was outstanding. There are places that want to keep you there to enjoy every part of the meal, and others that just want to fill tables. Toma is the former, and a joy to experience.

This is a super duper restaurant! Great service, outdoor seating and most important absolutely amazing food. Go for tuna cones and seared scallops. These are just a bomb!
