So I actually bought my 2008 Jeep to The Transmission shop almost a year ago to have the clutch replaced. They were very professional and were completely up front on the cost. I actually had another Clutch issue on another Jeep and took it to another shop that charged more than double what Transmission Shop did. I am writing my review now because I have had NO issues with my Clutch, and that means a lot. Thanks Andrew and team

Had a good experience at The Transmission Shop in McKinney. I brought my 2010 Mustang GT in for a transmission rebuild, new clutch installation, and differential flush. You may need to plan to be without your car for some time, these guys are busy (YMMV). I was without my car for 2 weeks - I didn't expect that. All else was fine. Andrew was professional and communicative at all times and I didn't get the impression I was being sold things I didn't need. I got the sense of honesty from Andrew, and in my opinion that's critical. I definitely recommend this shop.

I truly appreciate Andrew and the guys at The Transmission Shop! They took extra time to diagnose what was wrong and build a plan. Unfortunately, I needed a full rebuild but the price was easily half of what the dealer would charge me. Well done!

The manager Andrew is very knowledgeable, professional, and trustworthy. I've found that some shops are not experts on manual transmissions and differentials, but they are here. Andrew was able to tell me the problem in detail with my clutch replacement, what caused the failure, and saved me hundreds in unnecessary repair costs. Another repair shop diagnosed road noise as differential wear, and charged me to open my differential, take a look and add lubrication . The mechanics and Andrew quickly determined the real problem was my front wheel bearings. The mechanics here are very competent, helpful, and honest. Glad I found this shop. I will recommend to friends and family. This will be my go to shop in the future for any drive train or other mechanical issues. Highly Recommended!

I recommend The Transmission Shop in Mckinney. They rebuilt a transmission on a company truck and they were great to work with. They were professional, the communication was good, and they finished the work in the time frame that they gave me.
