Spent a beautiful morning on the Duchess for my moms BIG birthday. We were so blessed by the beautiful weather as the smoke from the fires dissipated. Skip and the staff were awesome and so accommodating. They had a great brunch set up for us and would check in to make sure everyone was happy. I would highly recommend the Duchess to anyone looking to spend a lovely morning or sunset on the beautiful waters of Los Angeles.

Absolutely amazing! A group of 4 of us were on the sunset cruise and the ocean was pretty choppy when we went out so captain George gave us the option of staying in the harbor but we chose to continue to Malibu and it was great! We sat on the front of the boat and enjoyed the waves. They provided blankets so we wouldn’t get cold. The ride back was much calmer and the sunset was unbelievable. Francisco was an amazing stew with the best service! We always had a drink in our hand and plenty of snacks. The boat itself is spacious and beautiful and had more than enough space for the 4 of us. Highly recommend this charter and we can’t wait to come back!
Thank you for an awesome experience on your Duchess. It was a dream come true! The yacht was beautifully appointed, the service warm and wonderful and you , Skip, were such a kind and gracious host not to mention, excellent skipper, knowing just where the fish were waiting for us. And did we catch fish! Also the crew were helpful dealing with the bait, poles and even filleting our catch which we ate the same night. It was all beyond perfection, even the weather and water were gorgeous. From the dolphins that surrounded us in the beginning of our trip to the seal at the end of the dock waiting for us upon our return, it was just GREAT. We will never for get it!
What a great experience. We went fishing to celebrate a birthday and had a great time. The boat was very comfortable, the crew was VERY attentive and seemed completely at ease, except for when we hooked a bird that tried to steal our bait fish. The poor deckhand was petrified of birds. We made sure he was able to work on this phobia by catching and releasing a few more birds. While none of our bird catches were intentional, he was a great sport and did a great job helping us with the fishing, cleaning and dividing up the day's catch. Francisco was a great host, always there to refresh a drink, offer a snack, confer about meals and when to present the birthday cake, which we managed to keep a surprise thanks to him! He also was a top notch crewmember- and is clearly a professional, yet demonstrates great caring about his clients. If we can't have Skip as the Captain, maybe we could have Francisco? Which leads me to the Captain himself. Skip is great, easy going, clear thinking and very friendly. He managed to secure some bait fish for us, despite the bait dock being, 'out of fish' (though they were loading fish onto one of their boats). He jumped in to assist with setting up the baitfish, and seemed to have great fun integrating with our small party. I say this because he felt like family and took great care of us. The best compliment I can give is that his crew were a reflection of him, and they were a welcome addition to the small party we had. We went for fishing but had a great time with this crew and on this boat. Definitely plan on going back!
We chartered The Duchess for my wife's birthday and had a phenomenal time! We did a 3 hour tour from Marina to Malibu and wished we spent the whole day on the boat. The Duchess is a luxury yacht experience, and there was plenty of room on the boat for our group. Captain Skip and his first mate were perfect hosts -- they were there when you needed them, and provided space when you wanted it. We're looking forward to our next tour on The Duchess!
