Our first canal boat holiday so we had mixed feelings beforehand but had a great time over the week, managing to go right across to Llangollen and back again to arrive on time for handover. The boat was immaculate and faultless and we soon learnt how to work it all after some helpful training at the start. Now we need to consider what route we may do next time!

We just had a wonderful weeks holiday on one of Andersen's beautiful boats. This was our return to canal boating after a break of nearly 30 years! The whole experience with Andersen's was exceptional, from our making the booking from Australia to the advice they provided when our planned journey along the Llangollen canal had to be changed at the last minute due to a canal breech on our route. They gave us some great alternatives and in the end we went for the lesser used Caldon canal, what a gem of a route. We really would recommend it as an alternative to the Llangollen if you are looking for beautiful rural vistas, great pubs and the tranquility of the waterways at their best. As for Andersen's, we cant' recommend them highly enough. Superbly equipped boats with a very high standard of cleanliness and attention to detail, right down to the welcoming gift awaiting on board when you arrive. Hopefully we won't be leaving it another 30 years before we take to the canals again, one thing is for sure, we will be booking with Andersens.

Spent a week the on the fjord viscount. Clean boat, good facilities (of what would be expected on a boat), an excellent way to travel and sight see. Ideal for photographers!
