Miss Solace

I highly recommend this facility for any child who is struggling. The environment is extraordinary for a mental health facility and the staff is top notch. The staff members are very well educated and good at what they do. They do an excellent job with helping children to communicate with parents and caregivers, and address concerns in an environment that feels safe. The facility is clean and comfortable, and definitely does not have a \hospital-like\ feel to it. The children have individual rooms, which is important for teens especially to have a space of their own. The kids aren't smothered, treated as if there is something \wrong\ with them or given medication inappropriately. There are nurses on staff that care for your child's medical needs and even track their growth. I never once got the impression that any of the staff members I encountered were only there for a paycheck, but rather are there because they genuinely care about and want to help children in crisis.Visiting my child was also made very easy because all of the staff are so friendly and helpful..they are also fun to be around. My child came home from Tamarack with a new outlook on life and better coping skills. I honestly believe that the staff at Tamarack saved my child, and for that I will be forever grateful.
