Much larger then i expected. Great place to see diverse flora and fauna while you get some gentle exercise. Bring binoculars for the wetlands. The only downside for me was the fact they keep beautiful, intelligent birds like parrots and macaws in stark cages with no trees or plants to try to resemble their native surroundings. I wish the feeders weren't empty, guess my timing was off going in the early afternoon. Otherwise well done.

A lot of beautiful for a little money. Orchids are the best of the plants. So many varieties and well tended. The grounds are amply served with plants from the Southwest Texas area and other areas of the same climate. The paths are well planned and abundance of plants all around. Many birds from South America that had been donated are colorful and friendly. The staff is friendly and eager to share what they know. This is a family place and outdoors people oasis.

I enjoy going to this place so much! The beautiful and friendly birds are very entertaining to watch. My favorite part is the gorgeous display of flowers throughout the property! It is a very nice way to spend an afternoon or a whole day even!

Even though I came in the winter, it was very pretty and since I could take my dog, we had a great walk. There are lots of plants we don't have at home. Everything had explanations of what they were and what they might attract to your landscape. Most of the animals were in warmer facilities but they have quite a variety. I especially enjoyed all of orchids! I never knew there so many kinds, colors and sizes! If I weren't traveling, I would have purchased some. Thanks!
