I would like to give 5stars and sometimes it is. The Doctors here really are great and give a wonderful service, the reception team can be very good and are helpful when you can finally get hold of them. I do agree with the reviews here that they are not the happiest and sometimes don't make things easy on the patients, However I understand that it is difficult times and not everything in the way things are run is their fault and it seems they have a very heavy work load but please, it would make such a difference if you could be a little happier and more approachable sick people really need this. I have just been on hold for 1 hour and 20mins!!(yes really and I have a screenshot to prove it!) I gave up at this point although I really wanted to see where it would go I had had enough. I called back for 20mins and still spoke to no-one. It is crazy that we can no longer book online and we can only book this way, the phone is always blocked up. My mother, who wanted to book a follow up appointment while she was at the practice was told she would have to go home and phone up!! You really don't need this hassle when you are not well. I hope that you will please address how you can make the reception staff a little happier so that sick people attending can be made to feel better not worse. Keep national kindness day going every day. I hope that you can bring back online booking this would alleviate some of the receptions work load and save them the wrath of frustrated patients which they shouldn't have to put up with.

Well what can I say....I have been with this practice for many years and never had a problem they have always been so lovely and caring, but it is sad to say lately the staff at the reception are so rude and yes I was polite to them if anyone questions it .....I know all services are struggling at the moment with the situation we are all in but the staff have to remember we are all in this together. I truly thank the NHS for all their hard work and commitment ....

If I could give this surgery zero stars I would. As with other comments here, they do not have an effective appointments system, and do not see patients (even with heart conditions in an emergency) without going through the laborious process of ringing their phone number incessantly before getting a reply. Once they pick up the phone (shocking to ask a receptionist to pick up a phone isn't it?) they are incredibly rude, dismissive, unsympathetic, and patronising. They are not qualified Drs and know nothing about medicine but have the gaul to tell you a medical emergency does not warrant the Dr's immediate attention. We have been forced on more than one occasion to drive straight to A and E at nearest hospital due to their inadequate service and incompetence. I am CERTAIN that many people will have died due to this surgery's negligence and dismissive attitude to serious illnesses. They should be SHUT DOWN. My elderly mother walked into the surgery to complain of a potential heart attack and they told her to walk all the way home again and ring their phone number at a certain hour of the day for them to 'potentially' get a Dr to ring her back. If this was a heart attack, she would have died in the time it took them to a)advise her to do this b) follow these ludicrous and pointlessly time-consuming instructions. They don't deserve to practice. I will do all I can to spread the word to those who are thinking of coming here, not to. You put your lives at risk signing up to this surgery. The receptionists should be all sacked and a new, intelligent manager put in that can work out the logistics of running a surgery efficiently. Dr Buckingham (FHEA)

Never simple to get an appointment, booking system is a joke, take for ever to get you call connected through to the actual surgery, you have to keep ringing as it just cuts your call off as the line is busy - today It took me 216 calls and took 28 minute - by the time you do then get through there are no appointments and told to try again tomorrow morning. They do have an online system but don't ever bother to add appointments on there but state on the website you can book online - its just a joke! The receptionists are very rude. The same complaints have been made to the surgery for years regarding booking systems, staff etc and the surgery does nothing about them. I would avoid this surgery at all costs. This joke of a booking system has been going on for years - so dont listen if the surgery try and make out its whilst the pandemic is going on. Its always been appalling.
