Such a place, it leaves you speechless. There are few points for whale watching where you have a panoramic view of the ocean. Also as a nice surprise it's easy to spot a bambi

A very enjoyable park right at the foot of Angra do Heroismo. Lots to explore here, including the fort, the gardens, the caldeira and views of Angra & coastline. Large, free parking lot on the north side of the Campo Municipal Soccer Pitch, is a short walk to Monte Brasil and your walk around the park. Plan on at least 90min to walk around.

We drove to Mt. Brazil in our rental up very narrow road, parked by the craters and hiked to Forte Da Quebrada for the amazing view you can see in my pictures. We took a harder route to get there, but it was worth every drop of sweat. Bring plenty of water and snacks for a picnic in the shade of the ruins of an old fort. Beautiful area with lots of activities for kids and adults. Enjoy!

Such an interesting park. Lots of birds, cats, and deer to see along the way. As well, you can see the army base and, if you're lucky, watch them doing some training.
