If you’re from abroad and wanted to see the roots of Ukrainian history - visit this place! No doubt you would be satisfied of different things have done by Cossacks in Ukraine that time.

It would be nice if it was really a preserve. There are issues with too many residential buildings, auto tracks, household gardens, a bunch of cars and garbage. Consequently, for unique wild animals, there is no space left over.

Interesting historical place with good exhibitions of cosac's artefacts. Clean, nice views. A little bit difficult to find due to lack of signs on the road through the island.

We have got there in a rainy and cloudy day. Anyway we've got astonished by the views on Dnepr and on the damb. The fortress was built to reproduce the old cozacs fortress to film a movie about Taras Bulba - you can find this movie online. There are some souvenir shops as well as a small restaurant (if I can name ot this way) where you can find something to eat (national food) and drink). Recommended!

Not very impressive since lack of historical info. The performance of local Kossacs shows only fight methods witch is not very safe for audience anyway. But it's always good opportunity to see how it looked like in the past.
