Ok I'm not that into history and museums have never been my mind of places but this was the first open air museum I visited. It's a whole different experience. Svaneti is an amazing place to go to, because the journey to that mountain top is one of the best treks I've taken. There's nothing much to see on top other than a tower to which there's no entrance, but the climb itself is breathtaking. It's a long, long, climb and if you ask me is svaneti worth all that, I'd easily say no, but the experience is one gorgeous one. On the way you'll see a hotel, through which you can climb up to turtle lake on a road, which gives you a bonus for coming up. So finally, even if there was nothing to see in the museum itself, I enjoyed every bit of it.

Only some houses open but many people willing to give you explanations of each. Just roam around and see if someone approaches you to describe the house. Not all staff speak English but the ones that do have great explanations

This is a really cool place to go if you want to get an idea of some of the culture of the city. This place gets four stars for several reasons. It seems like the paths to the different attractions need to be cleared of all plants. It was hard to find some places because they were overgrown. This caused a lot of visitors to simply stay at the main center attractions. The second reason is that they didn't have a lot of explainations of the building or their significant. I recommend anyone to make the hike up to the top to the tower. You will be in for a hike and an exhausting trip but the view is better than anywhere else! You get to see turtle lake and the whole city!

In fact, this is a very important place for us, Georgians, which requires more attention, greater thriftiness, constant restoration and careful development.

Very interesting idea, it is fantastic that they brought houses from different regions yo one place but unfortunately there are maintained very badly, half of them was closed with lock on (all together we managed to see maybe 7 from inside), only in 4 a ladies told us a story about the place but they weren't dressed in traditional clothes like they used to be, toilet in terrible shape with 0 running water. Definitely not worth going so far to see it. Great shame as the idea is fantastic and this place could have been awesome
