I came here when pregnant with my 3rd child, whom it now 4 years old. The staff was always friendly, even though the wait times were a little long. I'm an older Mom, so I was considered a \high-risk\ pregnancy. I received great care at this office. My main midwife was Tara, and my delivery was nothing short of exciting. I chose to have a completely natural birth that incorporated the use of the tub and shower at the hospital. My labor was relatively short, and my daughter came so quickly that I ended up giving birth on the bathroom floor of the hospital about 5 minutes into the bath. Tara was visibly shocked, but handled things exceptionally well! I had ZERO complications, and gave birth to a healthy baby. It was a wonderful, unforgettable experience to say the least.

I have been with this practice for almost 4 years. I first saw the midwives as a transfer patient, as I was 5 months pregnant with my second child when we moved to the area. I was immediately impressed by how professional and knowledgeable the midwives were. In the 4 months prior to giving birth, the office made it a point to schedule my appointments with all of the midwives so I would get to know each one prior to delivering. I appreciated each one, all different in their styles but all helpful and supportive. I delivered my son with Kelly. It was an incredibly positive experience. Kelly was just what my baby and I needed. She listened to my concerns about delivery, came up with practical solutions that we agreed on, and even when my confidence wavered her own confidence and calm brought me back to the present moment and I was able to connect with my son in such a powerful and beautiful way as I brought him into the world. I will always be thankful to Kelly for the role she's played. I also saw the midwives for postpartum care and have continued to see them for my yearly GYN appointments as well. In the past year I have experienced multiple miscarriages, and Kelly, Tara and Jodi have walked alongside me with compassionate care and invaluable insight. They are always available, and have never made me feel like an inconvenience. In fact they've made me feel validated, reassured, and respected in my needs. On a few occasions I've needed additional consulting from some of the OBs in the office who were also very professional and kind and I think it's a great plus to have the midwives working closely as a team with the doctors as well. I highly recommend partnering with this practice and with these incredible midwives for your pregnancy, postpartum, pregnancy loss or annual gyn needs.

I love this practice! I've delivered four of my children at Shady Grove with the midwives and every experience has been incredible. They are all patient, encouraging, and kind. I had my last baby this May and Kelly was the on-call midwife. By an oversight on my part, I hadn't had any prenatal appointments with her but she was perfect anyway. She was present when we needed her but gave us space when we needed to be alone. She was amazingly supportive during labor and after. I'm so grateful to all these ladies!

My birth experience with Jodi, one of the wonderful midwives in this practice, was entirely positive. Jodi's caring support and expert guidance through the entire process made the birth of my daughter a fantastic experience. The care I received before becoming pregnant, during my pregnancy, and after has been of the highest quality. Each of the midwives is attentive, caring, respectful, and knowledgeable. I highly recommend them.
