I honestly owe Dr. Shukhman more than I could ever repay him. I reached a point where I was desperate enough to try just one more psychiatrist, and I am so glad I did. Dr. Shukhman cares about your whole body and how that relates to your mental health, and because of that he is SO knowledgeable. He was able to talk to me for a few minutes and list every weird symptom I have, without me even telling him. Because of his understanding, after one virtual appointment with Dr. Shukhman, I am on the path to getting treatment for underlying health issues that I have had for years that have been brushed off. Please give him a try and go into your appointment open minded!

It was very hard for me to admit that I need help. I really appreciate I got recommendation to a such a professional who really understands that every person is unique and needs an individual approach. Dr Mark was very patient to get all my symptoms and created an plan for a medical treatment that can work for me. I realize that my condition can not be fixed quickly and I need to work hard to get result, but I started to feel more confident and see a significant recovery process. If you wish to improve quality of your life I highly recommend Dr Mark Shukhman! P.S. Also I like the office location near North Shore Center For The Performing Arts.

Dr. Shukhman is one of the rare psychiatrists that actually listens and collaborates with you. He is well informed of cutting edge practices in psychiatry. He also will explain anything I have a question about thoroughly.

My mom is in her 80’s and her previous psychiatrist is retiring. So this doctors office was recommended to her - but unfortunately they have been impossible to reach on the phone and speak with, they have failed to return messages and they will only text or email me to tell me she must fill out lengthy electronic forms on a computer which she does not know how to do - so I tried to do for her - but had questions and again after several attempts to reach them multiple days during working hours they keep insisting they will only speak to us after forms are electronically completed. I left messages if they could have a person assist my mom over the phone and no reply by them. They keep blaming Covid as to why they will not communicate which makes zero sense - we are not looking to go visit them now, although all other doctors are safely seeing patients. All we wanted was kindness and understanding for someone who’s very old and needed some support. Psychology is the Understanding of Human Behavior - which has so much irony as this office doesn’t understand nor will communicate human to human.

A good psychiatrist is one with a holistic approach that doesn't just focus on your brain in the abstract but also on how it interacts with your body. If you're looking for someone who will just write you a script and leave without helping you understand why and how your body is acting the way it is then this isn't the psychiatrist for you. Would definitely recommend speaking with Dr. Shukhman!
