Let me start this off by saying I am a first time boat buyer (a little green). I called 4 separate marine surveyors and their schedules were too busy to accommodate me. One of the surveyors recommended Brig to me (he was a past student of his). Brig is absolutely worth his weight in gold! He was extremely professional, helpful, profoundly knowledgeable, and never left any question unanswered. He surveyed/sea trialed the boat I considered purchasing as if he was buying it himself. At the end of the day, I ended up walking away from the deal after Brig’s report showed that the seller was WAY overpriced (over 10K!). Seller wouldn’t even budge! I believe this is the first time I have ever reviewed someone’s services on google. And due to Brig’s excellent work and forthrightness, I feel compelled to give him the highest remarks for his work. Captain Brig loves them PDQ’s ! He knows every inch of the PDQ catamarans. I had been looking to buy a PDQ 34 for years and I had finally found a 2003 on the PDQ forum. I called 5 different surveyors in the Stuart/ Palm city area, and decided on hiring captain Brig for the job because of his thorough knowledge and enthusiasm of the PDQ 34 power cat. I knew within minutes of talking with him, that he was the guy for the job. Other surveyors said it would take them 4-6 hours for the survey, while he spent 2 full days surveying it in the water and on the hard. He thoroughly went over every inch of this boat as well as taking oil samples. He listed every detail to be addressed, and the sellers agreed to take care of it all ! This was a very clean and well looked after vessel. Captain Brig gave me a real honest opinion of the boat, and from that I knew I was buying a real gem.
