I've been there and it's what you make of it. You can't depend on others for your recovery. The necessary medical attention is available at lssi to give you what u need to get better. The rest is up to you.

This place was terrible! I am leaving this long and detailed review to help others from making the mistake of leaving their family member here. After years, we finally got my brother to accept that he had a drinking problem. It wasn’t easy. We found this facility and convinced him to give this a try for the first time. First, when we called, the person over the phone rushed through the call and was the least bit compassionate. We said we had several questions and she said we could ask whatever questions we had when we dropped him off. We get to the facility and they make you enter through the alley. There’s a doorbell you have to ring and someone comes down. As we are waiting in this small enclosed entryway, someone from the kitchen staff is going in and out dumping oil from the kitchen to the alley. It looked so unsanitary. Then, a staff member comes down and says only my brother is allowed up. We told her we had several questions about the process here and she said “well I’m leaving for the day, I just came down to get him”. She told us to ring the doorbell again to speak to the person on the intercom. The lady answered and asked what questions we had and you could only speak to them through the intercom. You can’t even go up to check out the lobby facility and you can’t drop off your loved one in a good, caring, positive manner. They make you feel like you are just dropping off a stray dog. We left and didn’t have the heart to leave him in that dump. It’s no wonder it’s hard for people to seek help with places like this that are so unsupportive. Please don’t waste your time on this facility. It’s so discouraging, unhelpful and unprofessional.

I absolutely would not recommend this facility to anyone. If you have a partner, friend, or loved one do not have them check into this place. The staff is disrespectful and from what I experience can care less about what you have to say or how you feel. There is apparently no way of reaching them to find out how they are doing. My girlfriend was checked into this facility and I had no way of reaching her to see how she was doing. For all I know she could be doped up on a bunch of meds that is unnecessary forcing her to take something that she does not want to. I was told that I had to call this pay phone number to reach a client whereas any clients could answer the phone. I tried calling for 10 minutes and no one answered the phone. I was then told all I could do was keep calling that same number yet no one answered. Also I never knew a rehab/detox center did not allow visitors especially if they were family. This place is a joke.

Called on Friday to Lutheran Social Services and reviewed the needs for a friend we are trying to get help for benzo addiction. I was told to call back with the person and speak to the Intake Nurse. The person he/we spoke to was the rudest, most unprofessional and un empathetic person I have ever spoken to. Not only was it clear she could care less, she tried telling me their website had changed and who ever I spoke to on Friday wasn’t from the exact facility and I did not have the correct info. It was a complete waste of time and I wouldn’t take our friend in need there even if it were free after they way we were treated. I truly feel sorry for families and others trying to seek help for loved ones if this is how they are treated.

I have to be honest with you I don't understand why.the patients are there with the wrong attitude going in to Kenmore. Thanks for opening my eyes. I have seen that they Care but only to a point.. the smoking breaks are way drugs are brought in . I have seen it. That's why people don't make it and have been even worse. They detox and get drugs right there and almost die on the spot. Nuts
