McCarthy & Stone, seemingly appreciating, what I see as 'the predatory removal and selling nature' of British Red Cross, plans to remove our Knutsford & District War Memorial by demolition. It is our, publicly funded, Great War Memorial, still used by people of the 18 parishes whose funds built it, and then supported it throughout its history, on land donated only for that purpose, by local landowner, Cuthbert Leicester Warren. This should not be forgotten, by those rash enough to consider living on that memorial space. That star rating is 'a minus star'.. made the worse by the current plan to dump a so-called 'memorial garden' on the side of the increasingly busy Northwich Road, which will shortly have many more vehicles per hour, as the large estate is also built alongside the war memorial site. is that really all that the residents of Knutsford & District are thought to be worth (on their non-'cobbled non-village' streets? (factually incorrect as well.)
