To be honest, the food spread (weekend brunch) is fantastic. The staff switch it up and have specials. I recently graduated from college and the facility reminds me of the collegiate atmosphere. (It’s a plus in my mind). In regards to what others have said- I agree about the Johnson Center. It’s not operating at the same caliber as the independent living section. However, the last time I was there was when my grandfather was nearing the end of his life. The CNA/ lack of RNs showed- we have RNs and PA’s in the family— and while it’s hard to find good staff- the facility must. (Edit 2020: I have been informed that there has been a sizable multi-million dollar investment in the center and that it is completely unrecognizable from what I recall. While I have not personally inspected it- A huge cash infusion does tend to turn places into the land of hope and dreams). A note about the pool area: I have good hearing. I have young ears. The last couple of years- there has been a high, constant ring there. It sounds a bit like electronic feedback. It really really hurts. Please fix this— the youth and grandchildren beg you! So far- my grandmother has enjoyed her time here. After the her husband of nearly 60 years passed, she was drawn back into the community. There is a doctor that practices on site that she enjoys seeing and there are plenty of activities to fill the day. Note- edited in 2020.

Falcons Landing Is a good place to be,I’ve been to many nursing homes but their person centered care is good.i wish ,hope and pray they will hire more people or retain the good ones.

Falcons Landing is a wonderful place to work with some of the friendliest residents and staff I have ever met. This military retirement community is gated and provides security and fun to all its residents daily. I have not heard a single negative comment from a resident or employee since I started working here in May 2017. There are always many volunteer opportunities, as well as musical and theatrical events for residents and staff to mingle.

We have been living here over two years and it is one of the best decisions we ever made. Everyone we talk to is happy to be here.

My mother-in-law was at Falcon's Landing for over 20 years. For the most part, she enjoyed her time as an independent member of the community. However, once she was no longer independent and needed to be moved to the Johnson Center (the next stage of Falcon's Landing), everything seemed to fall apart. She developed dementia, and the staff at the Johnson Center is not trained to deal with her needs. We received many frantic calls regarding her wandering and about her occasional confused rantings. They demanded we hire an outside service to provide 1:1 watchful eye on her, even though she did have an anklet to alert them to her going outside. This additional cost was 4-5000.00 a month. We couldn't continue the cost, and at 95 years old, we had to move her to a facility where her mild dementia symptoms weren't problematic. She passed two months later (5/2016). Nobody can predict if their loved one will get dementia or Alzheimers. This facility needs to train their staff and be better prepared for their clients who will inevitably develop these horrible conditions. Please question the staff carefully about how they will provide future care!
