Service was very friendly and efficient however I think the pricing was excessive. I understand there is a premium to pay when its out of hours but this seemed very high. I was charged a consultation fee (same as I would be if I had turned up for a regular appointment) and an out of hours consultation fee. This seems like double billing right away. Just for one of my pets to be seen cost the same as the both my pets being spayed earlier that day. Then when you add the treatment she received which was similar to what both pet already had that day it cost more than double for one pet to be treated out of hour than two being seen in hours. As a pet owner I didn't have much choice as my animal needed help. However I feel you should reassess your pricing. Update since reply: Yes as I said I understand there is a premium to be paid for an out service. However i still feel being charged the standard consultation fee then more than double again for an out of hours consultation is over charging!

Firstly, I agree with so many comments on here, more so that the excellent reviews are for St.Clair vets & NOT Vets Now. I have absolutely no problem with St. Clair vets having been with them from an 11year old wee lassie with her first dog when they were then Smith & Boyd in Leven, some 40 odd years ago. But this is the second time I've had to use Vets Now & all be everyone I spoke too was pleasant & attentive their pricing is astronomical, in fact I'd go as far to say is bloody shocking & day or in this case night time robbery. For something that once looked into, might not have been necessary for my particular scenario & dog. They can make all the excuses under the sun about out of hours etc etc but sorry, in my eyes there is no justification for the exorbitant prices charged. I now find myself in a really difficult & sad situation in that after all these years & being on first name terms with so many of the vets & staff I am seriously considering moving my 4 dogs to another practice, that does not use Vets Now, I am so torn by this I could cry, I trust St. Clair explicitly with my fur babies, we've been thro years of thick & thin with many of my dogs so this is a decision I do not take lightly (neither does my bank balance!).

Absolutely devastated to have lost our beloved Roxy but cannot thank the staff enough for their quick diagnosis, honesty in the prognosis and compassion when dealing with what's been the hardest decision we've ever had to make. Although the surgery is a no go area due to the Covid hysteria we were taken to an external building where we were given the chance to be with our girl at the end for which we are so grateful.

Staff were very compassionate and professional when informing me that my cat had died after having been run over. There was no pressure to decide there and then what we would do with him (take home to bury or cremation) and it was suggested to contact them later in the day with a decision. Upon collecting the cat again staff showed empathy and professionalism.

Brilliant service and treatment from the vet here on Tuesday evening. My own out of hours vets wanted 247 consultation fee, but vets now wanted 167(still pricey, but as it is out of hours I completely understand the price) and then 60 for his medications. The vet was extremely conscious of giving my cat a good experience at the vets due to previous bad experiences. She took the time to explain everything thoroughly too me. In my panic, I had also left my purse at home so offered to leave my cat with her and go home to get my bank card, but she allowed me to pay over the phone. Overall a good experience
