I wasn't happy when my \antique\ furnace \crapped out\ in sub zero temperatures about a week ago, but in under 7 days, we went from making the initial call to Herchenbach, to getting our new Carrier Furnace installed yesterday. It was an unbelievably simple process from start to finish. I got 3 quotes sent over via e-mail the first morning, they were all explained to me thoroughly by Curtis, as HVAC is definitely not my thing, and I chose one of the options that same day, applied for the financing on their website immediately following, was approved 10 minutes later, and they were out here 4 business days later doing the work. Hilllary in the office was fantastic, she remained patient with me, considering all of my questions, as I was nervous about spending the money suddenly, but they could not have been better as a team. The 2 installers were great as well. With the snow melting, I was worried about mud, but they laid down tarps from the entrance all the way downstairs to the furnace room. It was a total non-issue. They got the job done, extremely professional, answered any questions I had with knowledgeable answers, and including demolition, complete install and testing, in 6 hours. It was unbelievable. The Carrier system is so quiet compared to the unit they replaced, and the smart thermostat is so cool as well. Anyway, I would highly recommend Herchenbach and Carrier to anyone looking for a new Furnace and/or A/C system. They will be back out in April doing my A/C system. Looking forward to it! Keep up the good work.

I called and they were so helpful. Mike showed up within minutes! He was on his way home when he was dispatched and turned around and came to my house to help us with our furnace. Very nice and knowledgeable. Very reasonable price, too. I hate being over charged and I'm glad I wasn't! I will recommend this company to my friends and family.

My furnace went out early morning January 20th. On my daughter's recommendation (who had her furnace and A/C replaced by Herchenbach a year ago), I called Herchenbach, and they came out the same morning. They told me my 23 year old furnace (A/C same age--both original in this house) needed replacing, explained options, and gave me quotes on site. After accepting one, they came out at 7:30 AM the following day and replaced furnace, A/C and humidifier by 4:30 PM. They were extremely polite, efficient and did a complete clean-up after completion. They also thoroughly explained any differences in operation with new equipment compared to the old. I would highly recommend Herchenbach.

My A/C unit stopped working, so I made a call to Herchenbach Mechanical , technician (Mike) came in about 45 min; after he stepped into the house and was ready to cross the way to the outside unit, I asked him either to take off his dirty shoes, or put a cover on them; he was not happy about my suggestion and went around the house to where the unit is located (he was obviously in the rush - it was end of the day, after 6pm); he opened the unit (I was present) and changed the capacitor; in a few minutes said that A/R is dead and that “we can replace it with a new one for 3,500”. I asked him if he was sure it was dead, he replied “yes”. I wrote a check for 149 for a 10 min inspection and handled it to him. I turned the A/C off (no point of keeping non-working unit on, obviously). I called another company; a technician came, opened the unit and using the tester found that 3 connectors are burned; he replaced all of them with the new once, and …magic – the compressor started working again! All was done for 200!!! I called Herchenbach Mechanical back and made a complaint; the owner of the company called me back and asked for a proof of work that was done and the receipt which I did (I provided photos, videos and the receipt). After our conversation I received a text from with no apology for his employee’s lack of expertise and mistake but with a gesture not to cash in my 149 check and blaming ME saying that connectors burned down AFTER his technical left a house. Why anyone will keep NON-WORKING A/R on? Such a disgrace and a shame for the owner try to put blame on the customer to protect his employee’s action and reputation of the company! I would not recommend this company to anyone! If you want to save yourself a few grands, find another company with dedicated and honest professionals!
