I needed advice on repairs to the lock on the front door of my building. Worrall's were able to advise me on a quick repair I could do myself and it's always so impressive when a business does this rather than just come round and charge. Trustworthy experts - enough said.

My front door has an old 1970's Weiser door handle with the lock machanism built into the handle. It's an old sytle of lock and a bit complicated and when I took it off to paint the door I managed to get it into a funny state where the key would not come out. I took it to Worrall and Son for help and they fixed it in 5 mins and lubricated the lock barrel too. They didn't even charge me for this service because it was pretty easy for them... BUT make no mistake, it required knowledge of a very old style lock and I certainly was not going to fix it on my own! I'm very grateful - How can you not love and respect old school customer service like that? For lock related matters you need honesty and expertise - make the effort to find them because they are worth it.
Very impressed with this company. My front door has 3 locks, one of which I had tried to replace myself when it had started to work loose. I can do a bit of DIY, but locks and mechanisms are definitely not my forte. It was rather disastrous attempt, resulting in a \temporary patch up\ job, so I just used the other locks. My patio door handle (not the usual combined lock and handle) was also loose and after my front door disaster, I was not game to try to fix this one. The gent from Worralls sorted the patio door in less than a minute - that was a bit embarrassing for me!! He then advised that the front door was not going to be improved security-wise by his installing a new lock system. The 2 locks I had left were more than sufficient - and were, in fact, far better than the original lock. He could have made a lot of money by saying I needed a new lock - I really would have been none the wiser and would have gone ahead with this without question. Instead, he gave some good advice about how to make the door look presentable without the old lock. I was so impressed and appreciative - and to find a business that operates so honestly, and with the best interests of the customers in mind, well it's truly refreshing. I cannot recommend them highly enough.
