during my vacations i was there with my family.Great, the caves and cliffs for kayaking are spectacular, we really enjoyed them. The precious fortress. A place that you should not miss if you are in peniche.

An amazing small island a 25 min boat ride away from Peniche mainland. There is a regular ferry service twice a day from Peniche embankment or private companies like Feeling Berlengas providing transfer on high speed boats. Unforgettable experience with a touch of extreme!

Beautiful place! The island is very small. The main beach (a small one...) is near the fishermen dock. It is possible to book a room inside the São João Baptista Fort.

A must see. What a place to observe the stunning natural environment on the island. We went on a hot day. You could watch the fish swimming in the surrounding turquoise waters. It would be an ideal spot to snorkel. The fortress was breathtaking, but be prepared for the steep stairs needed to access it via land. Recommend for the able bodied.

Very interesting and unknowing spot to visit if you have a car and you are visiting Lisboa. Its just 40 min driving. There are ferries in peniche every 30 min. Just tell the guys you want to visit the fortress. Once you are there, go upstairs to the mountains and you will get the best sightseeing ever.
