A nice little hike, 20min with a three year old and carrying a 11 month old baby. Beautiful views all around, especially on a clear day. Make sure to check the working hours before hand. We were the only English speaking in the whole group of Italians. The guide took us aside at the end and told us everything once again in english. Very kind. 3 for adults, children under 4, for free.

The Rocca Silliana Castle is a beautiful well preserved historical site. There is a short hike before reaching the top, but the trail is very well kept and it is a very enjoyable walk. The castle itself is beautiful and the sight you get from the top is one of the best you can get in the Toscana. If you are a photographer do not forget your tripod and telephoto! Moonrises are specially beautiful!
Nicely restored castle. There are guided tours during which they show you the inside of the castle. Check the times before you go, since they are very infrequent. It's possible to make a nice circular walk to and around the castle. The descend is quite steep and can be slippery. Be sure to put on your hiking boots.
Nice quiet historical place, properly marked and described on place. Becarefull for very limited opening hours.
Tough walk up to the top with two toddlers and then it was closed. Sad face.
