In 2016, we were staying in Provence with two other families and our friends from Berlin. I wanted an experience that would be memorable, and so I booked a cooking class with Chef Villard.Jean Marc and his wife were so amazing! They put all of us to work and then we even all ate together. It really was something: 12 people in the kitchen! What a wonderful time we had! Hopefully, we will see Jean Marc and his wife again one day dans la cuisine, bien sûr! Merci de tous!!

We were in France with another couple and decided to try a cooking class. This class in the Provence region was one of the highlights of our trip. We are from the US and the English that the class was taught in was excellent. Jean Marc and his wife Alice, were wonderful hosts. We visited a co-op we’re we picked up organic ingredients for our meal. Here he explained why he choice the the organic ingredients, talked about the local suppliers and introduced us to some of them that were working. We then went back to his house where we met another couple and worked all afternoon in a enjoyable, professional kitchen. Jean Marc and Alice, made the whole experience delightful. After preparing the meal we all ate outside in a beautiful country setting covered with a hanging grapevine trellis enjoying wine, new friends and a delicious meal

This Provencial cooking class was easily the best class we've taken anywhere in the world. The food we used was all top quality and the instruction from Jean-Marc was phenomenal. It's obvious he's been teaching for 30 years and loves what he does. Between he and his wife Alice the experience was absolutely top notch. We would not hesitate to recommend this class to anyone. You will not be disappointed. Their hospitality was similar to a 5 star hotel.

I can not recommend Jean-Marc’s cooking school enough! My mother and I took a class in September 2018 and we still talk about it as one of the most incredible experiences! We were part of a small class - 4 people total. Jean-Marc and his wife were incredible hosts and so kind to open their home to us. The market we went to was so cute and Jean-Marc spent plenty of time highlighting the quality products and the artisan farmers that grow them. We will be going back for another class any time we are in Provence!!

Jean-Marc and Alice are wonderful hosts and instructors of French cooking. During the day long class, we visited a local organic farmers market and received instruction on how to properly select seasonal products. From there, we returned to their well equipped commercial kitchen and prepared a three course lunch featuring modern French cuisine. The lunch on their sunny patio was delightful and featured some local wines that paired perfectly with the meal. Every participant received written recipes to take home. Alice picked us up at the nearby train station and brought us back after the class. Although this program is expensive compared to other cooking classes I've taken, you get what you pay for. Everything was top quality. From beginning cooks to those with experience in the restaurant industry, everyone will get something valuable from this class. I hope to return again someday!

I have always wanted to take a cooking class abroad and finally had the opportunity last Saturday! From the moment I met chef Jean-Marc and Alice they made me feel welcome. Chef was very encouraging and was just a great instructor with a fun sense of humour. The market tour was very informative and showed us the Provençal way of using what is in season and fresh and local. Every product we used was from a village or producer within a few kilometres of Jean-marc’s gorgeous property in the Luberon. The menu was lovely and the addition of tempura battered squash blossoms just for me-because they were at the market and I said I’d always wanted to try them-what a special treat. I truly feel privileged to have spent the day with a great group, an amazing instructor and his wonderful wife Alice. Everything we made was delectable, beautiful and paired with great local wines! I learned new techniques and tips and certainly ramped up my plating game! For me this was a dream come true. Thank-you Jean-Marc and Alice, I hope to see you again some day. If you ever visit Vancouver, please come for dinner. I have the perfect menu planned
