Toby, I meet you a couple weeks ago when my sister Dawn introduced us. Love your chicken and your place. Had a weird situation last night at your place. Dawn and I invited a couple friends to meet us at Fryer Tucks fir dinner, drinks and an evening of singing. A young red headed man came to our table and told us that you had said it’s okay for him to sit with us. And he looked at my sister and told her you said “tell Dawn it’s okay so live with it” Usually it would be fine. In this Covid year though it just not okay. So I’m sorry, but we text our friends and moved the party to Cactus Jacks. Just letting you know why we left. I don’t know if this guy was telling us the truth or not. Just wanted to let you know. He said he use to work with you.

Here's the thing. When I was growing up in this neighborhood, I always used to see this place and think, \that must be the best fried chicken in the WORLD! It's broasted!\ And so I kinda had this fantasy about this incredible fried chicken. Upshot to this tale: one night I had a mighty hankering for fried chicken, and I thought, \I should try Friar Tucks finally!\ And I did. And it was very decidedly meh. Not bad, just not really all that much better than Fred Meyer fried chicken. So I don't know if I'm rating their chicken or my own disappointed nostalgia ... But whatever, the chicken just wasn't that great.

It's a 5 star dive bar with great selection of beers on tap and some tasty house made potato chips. The fire pit is great.

The chicken is fantastic! Some of the best I've ever had. The service is friendly. The tent is a blessing. Thanks for providing a safe outdoor space to socialize.

I went here because I had an hour to kill in the area before a meeting. This place is exactly the kind of aesthetic I look for in a homey dive bar. It's very cozy yet packed with all sorts of entertainment potential. They have pictures hanging on every inch of the wooden walls a few fire places. It feels like a cabin in the woods. I went to the to-go part of the restaurant first, it being my first time there and this was where the kitchen with all the chicken is. The man at the counter told me I could order from the lounge and to sit anywhere. I sat at the bar with a view of behind the bar area and saw many taps and a wide selection of liquor. Once the server, Mercedes, was not busy she promptly came over to me and took my order; I knew what I wanted. She told me it would be about a 15min wait, which I was fine with. It's nice to have that information! There were patrons entering every few minutes and she would ask them, \would you like your regular?\ Which I love in a home base. She knew everyone and was a very kind host. This is a place you can feel you belong after becoming a regular. The food came out and it was delicious. It was prepared by people who care about quality bar food, and they deliver. I would love to come back time and time again, and would recommend anyone to check it out if you are looking for a brief respite from the busy city.
