I've spent a week helping my folks move in to Camellia at Deerwood under COVID restrictions. The Camellia staff are extraordinary. Warm, friendly, and helpful , they have made my folks feel welcome and helped alleviate the stress of moving. Victoria Proctor has bent over backwards to answer our questions and ensure that their needs were met. The apartment is comfortable, the residents are welcoming, and the food is really terrific!

My parents lived at Camellia at Deerwood for almost 8 years. I can not say enough about how great Crystal and the entire Camellia staff has been. They handled the covid pandemic with the utmost professionalism, consistently communicated with the families and created a safe environment for all the residents. They have also been very understanding and helpful in transitioning mom into a skilled nursing facility as her needs increased. If you are looking for a place to care for your loved ones I would highly recommend Camellia at Deerwood.

Before Covid Camellia was fun, entertaining, mostly good food and caring staff. During Covid our staff was efficient, caring, very concerned and did all they could to bring a feeling of safety and “fun times” in a lock down situation. My boys asked if I wanted to leave Camellia during the pandemic and I could honestly say - No,thanks. I feel safe and cared for right here. Wise decision. I truly think our staff were true Hero’s and will always be grateful to them. Now hopefully with all of us having our shots things will be able to return to “Fun and Entertaining” in the not to distant future. We joke that Camellia is like being on a permanent cruise - - just never leaving port️ Bobbie

My parents lived in assisted living for almost 7 years and had a beautiful 2 bedroom apartment. There were many activities available that they enjoyed plus playing bridge with some of the other residents. My mother began to decline last year and required much more attention. I could not have been more impressed with the availability of the nurse supervisor and nurses to help in any way needed. Everyone was always so loving even when my Mom was difficult to handle. In addition, the rest of the staff (front desk, food workers, and the drivers) went above and beyond to help. My Mom passed away about a month ago, and I can't compliment Camellia enough for helping us relocate my Dad to their memory care unit. Everyone was so compassionate and bent over backwards to make the transition as easy for us as possible. Camellia really does feel like home for my Dad. We are looking forward to getting to know the staff in memory care. I am sure they won't disappoint.

Suzanne did a wonderful tour and provided much information. She was warm and caring to my mother and me, answering all our questions. The residents were super friendly and greeted us as we walked through. Camellia was clean and appeared very inviting. Thanks for a wonderful experience!!

My lovely friend, Mary Jane, was a resident at Camilla for over 5 years. MJ started in independent living & then progressed to assisted, then memory care and every step of the way the Camilla staff were there for her, making her progression painless & enjoyable. MJ LOVED attention and the staff always gave that little extra bit; a hug, pat, kiss on the noggin or just sitting with her when she needed to talk. During the Covid pandemic they made sure she stayed safe and healthy and it meant a lot to me and my family. Camilla is truly a “home” and the care outstanding cause it’s balanced with love.

I am very lucky to be able to work at Camellia the past 6years. I have never worked at a community that feels like home to me. We truly have an amazing team of associates and the best residents. Seeing the whole community come together in 2020 will forever have an impact on me.
