We were just visiting for a weekend but apparently every Saturday and Sunday afternoon there is live music in the outside sitting area. We were lucky enough to see it, although totally by chance. That just made it all perfect really, the tea house is beautiful and you can have one of the million different tea options or a nice and perfectly prepared G&T if that's more your thing. Obviously lots of nice food to go with all of it. The final star goes for the staff, helpful and welcoming obviously but more than that always smiling and going out of their way to provide a perfect visit. A must go.

A very fancy place to enjoy your midday escape. ;) I love the atmosphere of the cafe. It's bright and the staff is also very nice and speaks good English. The prices aren't too high. All in all enjoyable.

Tuna salad was good, followed by a proper cheesecake. Nice little courtyard setting beneath an art nouveau building.

Super nice place. It's a coffee/bar with snacks in a museum. It is a wonderful idea to use the space and make the museum more attractive. Staff is friendly, price is fair and quality is good. It's a nice place to relax and enjoy a good talk with friends

Aveiro can get busy on weekends with so many tourist buses rocking up. It's not that well known but the Art Nouveau museum has this pleasant courtyard cafe . It was a refuge from the tourism madness outside. The building itself is beautiful, but the museum is nothing to write home about. Didn't even bother going upstairs to have a look. After our 3km walk along the riverbank, we just enjoyed ice-creams and coffee and cake in the cafe.
