Interesting site. However, bare in mind to drive all the way up there with the car. There is a dedicated car parking just 200 meters in front of the stones. The road to the parking lot is a three kilometer bumpy dust road. Our Seat Ibiza didn't struggle, but sometimes there were quite some gaps and it required a bit of skills, at least. Worth the stop

An amazing place off the beaten track but well worth a visit. These stones are a haunting reminder of our distant ancestors. How did they place them and why? These are the questions we all ask and when standing in the presence of these stones and I always feel a distinct sense of peace and mystery when visiting these places in Portugal and my homeland of Ireland. (see my other photos on maps)

Nice to see, but the road is bad to get to

Very interesting archeological site. I do love a stone circle. They could do with more info there...I would have liked to have learned more.

Very very intresting place. We were here in 2015 and it's really amazing that such place are still here. It was really serene. One other couple was there at that moment too.

Very nice and peaceful megalithic stones enclosure, which lies roughly 20km from Évora. You can easily rent bikes in town and plan a day trip to this enchanting location. Comparable to a small and more scattered version of Stonehenge.

Fine example of the Neolithic agropastoral sites of Alentejo.

Wonderful large stone circle on a sloping hillside in a beautiful landscape. Don't let the gate stop you from driving into the two sites....the walk is way too long!!!
