Free. Open from 10am to 17:30 but closing for lunch at 12:30 and reopening at 14:00 so plan your visit well! Welcome staff is nice and helpful. Staff monitoring the rooms in each floor is overbearing (they followed me closely as i moved through the various rooms, making the whole experience rather uncomfortable). Exhibits include a variety of local and international statues, pottery and metal works from prehistory, ancient Gaul, Roman Gaul and medieval ages. The architecture of the 2nd floor and the basement is just amazing (former abbey from year 1000). Recommended despite the escorting around. All signage in French but can be understood due to context.

There is a small collection of prehistoric and pre-Roman artifacts, including a nicely preserved set of gold jewelry, and a larger grouping of Roman artifacts related to daily life and to worship at the source of the Seine River, mostly votive offerings. The latter part of the collection is in the former abbey scriptorium in the basement, and is atmospherically dank due to the high water table. You can see some bits of masonry and sculpture collected from various churches in the region as well. The signage is good, but all in French.

A bit empty of exhibits but the vaults are worth seeing more than the artifacts. Skip the museum and head straight into the vaults. 5 min. Done. Free entrance.
