I was phoning my old friend Iris Thomson from Victoria Canada and the staff were so good and prompt at putting me through, for some reason we got cut off but when I called back to say something the staff to tell Iris I would talk some other time, Iris was right there, thanks to the nurses and we got to finish our call, thank you Staff at Jesmond house, Aberdeen. My dear friend Iris Thomson died today. Her son Mike notified me today. Thank you Jesmond House from me. I hope Iris saw the birthday card I sent earlier this month and that one of the staff read it to her. RIP Iris

Disappointing and distressing. The Nurse put my Mum on \end of life care\ without discussing with me. I kept asking how she was getting food and drink, but just got fobbed off. Was 2 days before someone was honest with me about what was happening, too late for anything to be done. Once my Mum had died, the Nurse was very forceful in trying to rush me into getting my Mums body removed. My Mum lived there for 4 years, it was a very sad ending. I felt they let us down badly.

Despite asking to speak to the manager Jackie since Tuesday regarding putting her mother into residential care with them my friend still has not received a call back despite phoning them daily. If this is how they are my friend seriously thinks that this care home is not for her mother, as they obviously don't care.

We came from Hull in England to visit my auntie, I had mixed feelings I just didn't know what to expect. Very teary I entered the home to the manager and a few staff who were very supportive with me. They led me down to my aunties room there I met her and Claire the care worker who was so lovely, she made me so welcome with a hot drink and biscuits. The day after was my aunt and uncles 56th wedding anniversary, a beautiful buffet was made by the catering staff and endless hot drinks, a beautiful day enjoyed by all the family, Getting back to jesmond care home.... You all really need to be proud of yourselves Your home is beautiful and clean and so fresh. I met a few Claire, Amy, my aunties key worker and spoke to Jackie the cook over the phone. Thank you for all you do for my auntie it means so much. I would highly recommend jesmond care home without a doubt . Kerry (from Hull haha) and all Helens lovely family Xx
