I cannot say enough good things about AARF. We just adopted a puppy from them (as we wanted a dog that will grow up with our family) after losing our sweet girl of 12.5 years in 2018. They were very quick to answer questions via email and telephone. I was able to schedule a meet once our application was approved and fell in love with our sweet Noel. Her foster mom did a wonderful job beginning her on house training! We are so happy with our pup and so grateful to AARF for taking care of her and her siblings.

So glad I chose this facility to adopt my new fur baby! I found Ella on Petfinder and even though I had to drive 2 hours to get her it was completely worth it. AARF is so professional and well-run, and they obviously care for their animals. I filled out an application for Ella on their website and received a phone call confirmation less than 48 hours later. We arranged a time later that week to meet her; the whole process was so smooth. We were taken into a room where we got to meet with and interact with Ella to make sure she was the right fit for us. It didn't take long for me to know she was coming home with us and after we took care of the paperwork we were given an adorable hand-decorated goody bag with her vet records and a bunch of toys/treats/etc.! Ella's description on Petfinder was very accurate: sweet, cuddly, and super playful! She was already spayed, litter-trained, vaccinated, and micro-chipped. It's been less than 48 hours and she's already such a lap-cat (exactly what I was looking for)! She follows us around the room and likes to sit next to me on the couch. Thank you so much, AARF, for all your hard work and dedication, and thank you above all else for my new best friend! P.S. While we were there we also met a very sweet cat named Dexter! Unfortunately our hearts were already set on Ella, but if you're looking to adopt from AARF you should definitely consider him since he was a sweetie.
