I've been going to A New Start for 3 weeks and so far, they have made it as pleasant for me as a place like this can possibly be. Even though I'm a new patient here, I have spent a LOT of time at Suboxone clinics off and on for the last decade, and this is the best one I've been to. They're very efficient at drug testing, touching base with you, and then getting you seen by your doctor (you will often see a Nurse Practitioner for your script-both that I've met are really nice.) I've never spent more than 10 minutes in the waiting room here, tbh. (I don't want to make them sound like a dispensing machine, as they do require more from you than to just show up. They expect you to attend one-on-one therapy and group therapy sessions when you're in your first 3 months. After that, monthly N/A meetings, I believe.) I'm very grateful for them and will continue to come here as long as they're willing to work with me.

My safe place Home away from home If you’ve ever been to ANS, you know this facility has the most amazing Staff, (more like family) and such a Wonderful group of Doctors, Nurse Practitioners, Nurses, Therapists and Peer support specialist. I sure wouldn’t be where I am today without my individual therapist, Kendall Armstrong and my AMAZING recovery physician, Dr. Vincent️ This facility gave me hope, when I didn’t think hope was possible. The program gave me a second chance at life, to be the person I always knew I could be I’m living proof that CHANGE IS POSSIBLE You just got to want it bad enough I’m forever grateful to the staff and doctors for all they have helped me achieve and conquer. Y’all are the BEST!

I’d like to share a quick take on my first month at A New Start II, LLC. Due to 19 major spinal surgeries and a brain surgery, I’ve been forced to be on opioids and other strong pain medication since the winter of 2004 to control excruciating chronic pain and at times to even walk. It’s been a rough ride. During that time like most chronic pain sufferers I’ve had to endure feeling and being treated like a criminal by the very doctors and staff that I thought were there to help me at pain clinics.Wasn’t just getting a bad doctor because I’ve had a few, it was the system that was set up to control who gets pain medication and how much they get. Well I’d had enough! I started with these wonderful folks at A New Start II after talking to a friend about her road to wellness and I started taking the medication Suboxone they use to get patients off opioids. I know withdrawal all to well and it is awful to have to experience, especially if your in the shape I’m in. I can honestly say I haven’t experienced withdrawal whatsoever while on the Suboxone and it’s been right at a month now! You add that to the treatment you receive from the doctors and staff and I wish I’d have had them in my life a long time ago. Everyone I have talked to there staff wise truly care about how your doing. They understand your not perfect and work with you to solve any issue you may have. I have also not talked to one single patient that’s said one bad thing about anyone or their treatment there. Folks if your needing help please don’t hesitate to call them. I’ll already put my good name on the line and promise you that if you ask them for help they won’t judge you they will jump up and help you with every tool they have. I sure am glad I did!

I have currently been going to Spero in Owensboro for a year and a half now and have been in 2 1/2 and felt I needed more and havnt had a dirty drug screen or missed an appointment there the entire time. And all of this only to be cut down a quarter when if anything I felt I needed another quarter. I’m not ready for this a lot is going on in my life and i have remained clean only to feel I’m being punished for it by being pushed to be cut down when not ready. But Iv worked so hard to get on a once monthly bases and have done so good. But now I feel like my only option is to go back to square one at another treatment place and have to make all those appointments again and wondering how I could even manage it now with my schedule. Does anyone here have any advice for me??? If I went to this facility from where I’m at now how would I be treated and what would I have to do??
