I rented a rug doctor to clean my new flats carpet. Upon bringing it home and opening it that’s when things went downhill. The machine stank of a bad odour, you can see it has not been cleaned as it’s filthy and mucky water from previous customer left in there. Not only was the machine terrible at cleaning but also left dirt marks on my carpet. The handheld tools was damaged which meant I can’t use it. I called customer service who said I can return this machine and get another one. Went and got a replacement machine which again was filthy and this time this machine would leak water so my carpet is drenched now and it’s been 24 hours and it’s still not dry. Terrible product wouldn’t even get it even it was free. With corona I thought they would extra precautions to clean the machine which they haven’t. ABSOLUTELY RUBBISH!!! NOT COVID PROFF

Brilliant machine. Renovated our old carpet back to former glory. Saved us a fortune. We had thought of getting a new carpet but thought we'd try the rug doctor machine rental first. Glad we did. Cost about 23 for the machine rental and 10.99 for the detergent for two rooms. Collected from locker in local on Asda. Very simple.

We hired a machine from our local outlet. When we got it home we found that it was filthy. We had to spend quite a bit of time cleaning the brushes and wheels in particular as they were completely clogged up with animal hair. The machine did a fair job of cleaning the carpets but leaked out water from underneath. We feel that the machines should be checked regularly after each customer so that you can be sure of getting a machine in good condition.

Hired a rug doctor with my friends help to collect. My friend collected and put it in their car, and it was full of water that has leaked into their brand new car boot and soaked their boots. They thought it was maybe left over water from cleaning as the machine looked clean. Only upon closer inspection, we found it had not been cleaned. The mesh filter inside was filthy and underneath was covered in matted human and pet hair and grime. So straight back to the shop it went. According to their customer service, the machines are only cleaned by a supplemented engineer EVERY OTHER use and it is the previous customers responsibility to make it clean for the next person to use. Hardly COVID SECURE as you state is it. Disgusting.

Rented one from my local Tesco and it was really easy to pick it up from the self service locker and buy the detergents I needed. Took it home, really easy to use and worked quite well, the water was dirty so it was doing something. Dropped it back with no problems, would recommend.
