If you're going to the emergency vet at 3am on a Friday night you're not likely to have a good experience, but the kindness and compassion shown by the vet was a ray of light in an overall awful night. She was willing to research the issue and help us make a decision that was best for our pet. Thank you.

I brought my rat to vets now in the early hours of this morning. I found him in a bad way when I arrived home from work and took him in. The vet after conducting her investigation and attempting some treatment informed me it was not looking good and that more treatment could be tried but was very unlikely to work. I decided to let my boy go. I said goodbye to him in the car park and she took him to help him cross the rainbow bridge the kindness and support shown through this was as good as it could ever be. Rats are often not taken seriously and people are often treated differently because they’re not a cat or dog but I can honestly say I am so thankful for the compassion I was shown through my visit. While the outcome was not what I had hoped for it was the best thing for my Felix and I take some comfort now he is no longer in pain. Thank you to the team at vets for now, you made this so much easier and smoother for me and him both. Amazing vets. So glad I decided to bring him to you.

My 18 weeks old Shih Tzu gone in a guest room and found a tub of smarties while upstairs. We was downstairs and it was unusual quiet so I went to look for him and found him chewing a the tub of smarties. We think he ate about 30-40g of smarties. So we immediately contacted the Witham emergency Vet. They asked a few questions and told the price of 253 for consultation. We gone ahead to the vet with instruction they provided. When there we waited in the car park, it was quite a long wait. A vet came out and took my puppy in and on the phone they explained they will give an injection to induce him to vomit and it will take about 1/2 hours. I can either go ahead or monitor him as it very mild but we wanted peace of mind. When my puppy was handed back he smell of vomit. My bill came to 319.69, very expensive. The staff was friendly, clear instruction given and it only 4 stars as I feel the price charge was too expensive.

Very supportive. Give you all the information you need to make the right choice for your pet. Very sympathetic in my case. My boy was 15 and it was time to let him rest. They were very sincere and patient and helped us make it as easy as possible without rushing. I left feeling that we were looked after.

Who can say for sure how good an experience at a vets is. My dog cant tell me what staying there the night was like or if they did all they could, weather they were nice to him..etc. all i know is he was at deaths door when we arrived and the next morn he was good enough to come home. We think he was poisoned but we will never know because we couldnt afford anymore than the 800.00 it had already cost to have more tests and find out. They seemed nice. The vet was hard to understand tho!
