Great fun family experience every year! So glad to be able to take my young boys and make memories like these. Everyone is always helpful and pleasant! Thankful for the people who put this together every year. *Even in all the cold and mud, everyone working/volunteering were in great spirits. **later edit, be aware if the fact that rain in TX can do a number to the ground y’all!! Prepare for mud, wear boots!! **tree prices on Fir’s are insane, but keep in mind why; all the fires and drought in CA, OR, & WA, where they ship them from, have driven prices up.

Awesome Place ....... Add it to the " To do list "
This place is awesome! My family has picked up our Christmas tree here for the past several years. The owners are fantastic and truly enjoy what they do, and they are super knowledgeable! We could not be happier with the tree we got this weekend. And of course, I witnessed the challenges that the crazy amount of rain created, but I also witnessed incredible efforts by the farm’s staff to make things run smoothly. Great place to bring the family, and great place to get the perfect tree!
Perfect nostalgic tradition for the whole family!
We have been coming to Wintergreen Farm for many years now, both while the previous owners operated the business and now the current. We appreciate you pulling us out of the mud, not once, but twice yesterday and are hoping your land repairs as well as it can and soon. We found a beautiful tree, and although all the mud and the rain Friday and Saturday must have been stressful as all get out, your staff handled it with a smile. Thank you for all of your hard work, and Merry Christmas!
Had a great experience there for our first time on Black Friday! The staff was very friendly and helped us with a smile in every capacity. The ride to the tree field was great and the free hot chocolate was delicious while waiting for our tree. We had such a great time, despite the cold and rainy day. It was extra entertainment watching the cars getting stuck in the mud. But even with that, the guys running the trackers pulling the stuck cars out had a smile on!
Summary-Our tree was lost and after 4 hours and being stuck in the mud we left. Owner said to call them that night, they didn't pick up and we haven't heard from them. Update: They reached out to us and offered a 10% discount. We didn't think that was enough given the time and poor experience. We went back anyways but they didn't have any trees left to our liking. Still disappointed. Whole story- Been coming here for awhile and always enjoyed the experience, despite the long-ish wait.We got there about 9:15 on black friday, waited in line and found a tree really quickly (maybe 10 am at the latest). We took pictures with the tree for our first family Christmas, with our two month old.We waited by the pick up line and our tree couldn't be found. After looking all over the grounds ourselves and then with the owner, the search was abandoned. Our tree was lost and no trees to our liking were left. Spent about 4 hours on site at the end of it all.On top of that, multiple cars were getting stuck in the mud. They had one small tractor which was inadequate.The owner said to call that night, around 8:30 pm. They didn't pick up that night and did not call back the next day. The phone line was busy around the same time the next night when we called. Left 2 stars because of the past positive experience. We won't be back though.
This is the first year in a decade we have not gone to the Wintergreen Tree Farm as a family. The original owners were lovely and we recommended the location to everyone we knew. Unfortunately the owners had to sell due to illness and the new owners have struggled to replicate the original experience. They just don’t seem to understand what is important to families and they have made the entire process more convoluted and uncomfortable. Last year we picked out a tree and had it wrapped, only to wait in line for OVER AN HOUR AND A HALF just to get the tree tied on to the top of our car which we could have done ourselves in a fraction of that time. All together it has made the experience wholly unworthy of the trip and expense. The place has been for sale, I would love for someone to purchase the location and restore it to its former glory.
