There is little left of this abbey other than one building, a pond and a large gable but it is a pretty place to stop especially as you can use the parking to go up to St. Catherine's Chapel on the hill. The site is owned by English Heritage and is free to visit. This is quite an isolated spot now but must have been even more so when the monastery was flourishing (before the Reformation).

A beautiful place , we visited at 8,30 in the morning, it was peaceful and enchanting, however we were suprised to find zero information boards with history of the ruins, thankfully Google and Wikipedia assisted. As suspected it was Henry the 8th that was responsible for the downfall of the monastary . The barn is beautiful, the largest thatched barn in theworld
Nice location at the top of the hill. Not so much the Abbey but St Catherine's Chapel that used to be part of the Abbey
An interesting building with dome remains from the former monastery. Village interesting too.
